Many businesses deal with property lettings and sales. We deal exclusively with property management so we have no conflicts of interest.

The Collier Family has owned and rented property in the Tees Valley area for over 40 years. Since 2003 the experience gained over that period has been available to to other landlords to help look after them and their properties.

We manage a mix of private professional and student accommodation as well as a number of properties where the tenants have rent paid by way of Housing Benefit and Universal Credit. All are managed to the same high standard from our office in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough.

The business is owned by David and Judith Collier and they are assisted by 3 experienced staff. In addition we have a team of contractors that we can call upon to carry out pretty much any other back up service, whether it be maintenance or professional services such as the provision of energy performance certificates.

David has personally had over 40 years involvement with his own family property investment businesses as well as over 10 years managing property for other landlords, many of whom are still with us today. He was formerly senior partner of a leading North East Solicitors practice prior to retiring from that post in March 2014. Through his links to the legal profession Collier Property Management therefore has easy access to specialist legal advice if it is needed.

Judith has spent over 25 years managing rented property in the private sector having previously worked in a similar capacity for Housing Associations Bradford & Northern and North Housing (now part of Home Group).

Professional Standards

We are members of both the Residential Landlords Association (RLA) and the National Landlords Association(NLA), shortly to be merged as the NRLA.  Both enable us to keep up to date with the legal requirements affecting the rented property sector and with training and documents.

We are members of SafeAgent (SafeAgent Licence No A5175), which again avails us of training opportunities.  Our Client Money Protection is provided through the SafeAgent, formerly NALS Client Money Protection Scheme. To view our NALS CMP Certificate click here.
